YOUR EXCLUSIVE GUIDE TO TRAVELING AFRICA

Africa may not always register on the average traveler's radar, but those who visit have the opportunity to experience perfect blend of rich culture, heritage, and history.

The world’s second-largest continent is an unsung travel destination that has regions catering to all travel needs for adventure, be it for family travel, wellness, culture, or relaxation.

With its expansive landscapes and incredible animal life, this continent made up of 54 countries is arguably the best for photography 🤩.

We spent most of last year in lockdown. As the world opens up again, African countries have put in the best measures to welcome visitors.

Here are 5 African countries you should visit:

Kenya

Kenya is known for its famous safaris but there is so much more to it than that. Sightseeing here is like stepping back in time as you visit UNESCO World Heritage Sites like the Old Town of Lamu.

Visitors to Kenya are very often surprise by its abundance of water sports and other adrenaline-pumping actives, perfect for adventure lovers seeking new experiences.

Home to Africa’s second-highest mountain, Kenya is great for family camping, and safari.

If you are not a mountain climber or safari oriented, you can relax on the pearly beaches, experience the melting pot of cultures and cuisines in Mombasa and Malindi, and explore tropical islands steeped in Swahili history.

Seychelles

The tiniest country on the continent, but arguably the most beautiful. Known for rum, cruises, spas, sailing, diving, fishing, and relaxing on the Indian Ocean.

So, if you are looking to rejuvenate, you know the perfect place to go. This island is also visa-free for a lot of nationalities including Nigeria which makes it one of the easiest countries to visit.

The Seychelles is home to UNESCO-designated sites, coral atoll Aldabra and Vallée de Mai, called the Garden of Eden. When are you going ?

Tanzania

Tanzania, home to Mount Kilimanjaro — the highest point in Africa boasts of 16 national parks and is home to a large variety of animal life. Among the large mammals include the Big five, cheetahs, wildebeest, giraffes, hippopotamuses, and various antelopes.

The Serengeti National Park is the most popular park in the country. To visit Tanzania, you need a referral visa which you must apply for 3 months in advance.

Zanzibar is perhaps the most popular town in Tanzania. When you are not enjoying one of the many beaches, you can explore Stone Town, go fruit tasting in Jambo Spice Town, Visit Zanzibar’s open sanctuary for rescued animals: Cheetah’s Rock

Rwanda

Known as the land of a thousand hills, Rwanda is perfect for MICE tourism and has carved out a niche for this. To top it all, no visa is required.

Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) is a type of tourism in which large groups are brought together for events.

Rwanda’s stunning scenery, biodiversity, incredible wildlife, its volcanoes, montane rainforests, and sweeping plains make it the destination that several tourists and professional photographers have chosen to visit in recent years.

Tunisia

The historic Medina, Carthage ruins and Bardo in Tunis, the beach resorts and Houmt Souk’s fort in Djerba are some of Tunisia’s popular destinations.

Visit a scene from film or tv history, or classic moments from series such as Star Wars, Monty Python, and Indiana Jones captured in Tunisia. Some of the sets can still be visited to this day. Tunisia is historical as well as exotic, offering a lot of sights, sounds and experiences for visitors and tourists to appreciate.

There are many places to enjoy whilst on a trip to the nation which captures the cultural landscape, geography and the nation’s rich past.

As Tunisia is located on the shores of the Mediterranean sea, it offers some of the most beautiful beaches and Mediterranean fusion cuisines found in North Africa.

Africa is a continent with incredibly varied cultures, landscapes, and activities only to be experienced first hand. Safaris are certainly a big draw, but there’s so much more to Africa.

Africa is a continent filled with people on the move, a thriving film industry, growing tech centres, and lots of development projects.
